Who Are We?

Team #OperationLayla is an amazing group of women who banded together to help their friend, and are determined to keep helping those in need. The names I’ve listed here do not even begin to cover everyone who has contributed to Operation Layla. If you’d like to be listed but don’t see your name, please contact me!

Jessica - to sum it up, I’m an Army brat that has settled down in the Shenandoah Valley. My favorite things include the Food Network, shoes, wine, and most recently, wedding planning. I would love to make that a career someday but right now, it’s just a pipe dream.

Jessica Lynn - Hola! My name is Jessica and “Jesstagirl” is a play on words I came up with a couple years ago. (Get it? My name is Jess and I’m a girl…jesstagirl) And my hubby, well he’s an officer in the United States Air Force. Thanks to the them, we’re living in peach country, aka, Georgia. During the day I’m a stay-at-home wife and freelance writer. I love cupcakes, spicy food, chick flicks, cooking, and snail mail, and I dislike sweet tea very, very much.

Hannah - Hi y’all! My name is Hannah Marie and I’m a blogger from Gainesville, Florida. As I hold multiple degrees from (does a Baby Gator degree count, too?) and currently work at the University of Florida, I’m a proud Florida Gator (hence the whole “Gator Hannah” thing) and hope that doesn’t offend too many of you!

Anni – Hello everyone! I’m a city girl at heart currently located in Chicago. I have a serious addiction to fashion, nights out, my lovely animals and time with my fiance. I have more books than should ever be allowed for a girl who has lived in three apartments in the past three years. When I’m not writing or reading blog entries I’m most likely out and about with my camera (and often our Australian Shepherd, Sunday) in tow.

Jee-Young - I am a 27 year old consultant by day, law school student by night. More recently, I am a newlywed — happily building a life together with the love of my life.

Emily - Just a newlywed trying to navigate my way through marriage, domesticity, job searching, and a new city!

Megan - I’m Megan. I have crazy hair and I laugh really loud.

Christina - I’m newly married and learning to take one day at a time. I love (in no particular order) my husband, my one-eyed cat, black and white photography, planning stuff, and watching bad reality TV.

Kristen - I live in New Haven, Connecticut but I’ve got a Kentucky soul and a heart that belongs to Atlanta. I’m good at making messes, making daisy chains, and driving my husband crazy. We got married August 7th, 2010 and he loves me more than I thought was ever possible.  I am goofy, personable, loyal to a fault, and dangerously independent. He’s a grad student at Yale and I’m living life to the fullest of my unemployed abilities, namely reading a ton of books and making a lot of messes. He’s taking Danish and I bake cakes.

Maria - Hi! I’m Maria, a 25 year old from Maryland. Like any good ol’ Marylander, I went to school at the University of Maryland. Not only did I go to UMD, I liked it so much I decided to go back AGAIN and am currently working on my Masters of Library Science.

Shannon

Dancy - Living, loving, learning, blogging.

Natalie - Hi! I’m Natalie. I’m a twenty something, barely tall enough to have once considered runway modeling, St. Louis, MO to Austin, TX transplant with a love for blogging. And a love for pretty things, crafts and DIY, clothes and shoes, forgetting that I’m not a great cook and attempting to cook anyway, God, and my friends (from the interwebs and real life) and family. And I want to share those loves with you. Yes, you!

Liz - Well, hello! I am Liz & this is my blog where I write about pretty things that inspire me(like Marc Jacobs), people I love & my upcoming wedding (May 2012!!!).

Andrea - Not as cool as Cory or Topanga.

Steph - Blogger, dreamer, happy to be alive, wine drinker, optimist, lover & fighter, massage therapist.

Jacin - Born and raised in a small Connecticut shoreline town, attended college in Rhode Island, lived and planned weddings and festivals in Newport.  Moved on to coordinate (and travel for) regattas for Sailing World Magazine, and afterwards, moved to Australia to plan events for a private school in Sydney.  Traveled through the rest of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, and then moved back to the US.  Lived in Hoboken, NJ, moved to San Francisco, CA, started a wedding blog, planned our wedding in Connecticut (from SF), and honeymooned in Hawaii. Realized my true passion lies within the details of life, and that I want to help others achieve their dream event.  Stopped searching the world for my purpose, founded an event planning & design company {lovely little details}.

Lauren - Newlywed, blogger, photographer, designer, painter, and lover.

Layla – we live in the hub of southeastern humidity, Atlanta, Georgia. I’m originally from Tennessee, and I miss it every single day. And yes, I’m a Vol. There is nothing better than football, in my opinion. Except for sea-salted chocolate, maybe. Or bacon. Tough contest. My bald one, up there? He’s an Auburn fan, but I forgive him. Sometimes, I even play along.

Claire - Planning a wedding is such an amazing and truly gratifying experience and I’m so blessed to be able to share it with all of you! I can’t wait to see where the rest of the planning takes me! I’m also an aspiring nutritionist with a site geared towards health, check it out for some fantastic recipes and fitness tips!

Cindie – I’m Cindie, a Jersey girl who doesn’t know how to fist pump or beat the beat but I can cook a pretty mean Sunday Night Dinner.  I have a penchant for cooking, eating and online shopping.  If I were a recipe I’d be a pinch of impulsive, a dollop of quirky, and a heap of clumsy.
